I'm living next to a small fishing harbour, a "class two harbour". South of that is a marine base and south of that ("left" on the photo) Kaohsiung harbour, I think the biggest harbour here in Taiwan.
There are also fishing boats in that area, but on my photos I think I've only seen ships waiting for their turn to enter Kaohsiung harbour. A few years ago those ships would wait more to the south, but for some reason they are now at our doorstep.
Setting up an AIS receiver is somewhere on a to-do list, because most apps use totally outdated AIS data, so it's hard to see who is really out there.
